We invest the time to fully understand you, your circumstances, your goals, your needs, and your dreams before we offer a single piece of advice.
Your financial plan is a roadmap for your life’s journey, and will aid you in making informed decisions and appropriate choices along the way. It’s more than just “numbers”, because it reflects your values and priorities.
There are several stages to developing your plan:
We start by learning what’s important to you. What do want to do? Where do you want to go? Who would you like to help?
We then build a model of your future, in which we quantify your goals in terms of resources (income and assets) and expenditures. The model will include assumptions about inflation, taxes, investment returns, and more.
You’re invited to consider alternative “what if” scenarios that interest you.
Once you’ve settled on the scenario you feel is most likely, we’ll “stress test” it to ensure that your plan will work even if things don’t go as expected. We’ll consider such things as higher inflation, higher tax rates, lower investment returns, a longer lifespan, and the need for physical/medical care at some point.
“Putting It All Into Action”
After we’ve completed the planning process, we’ll sit down with you and review what we learned, and identify what needs to be done to properly implement the plan.
“Keeping It Current”
From that point forward we’ll check in with you annually to discuss whether your plan needs updating. Change is a part of life, and we’ll make sure your plan is revised so that it remains a valuable resource to you. For our wealth management clients, unlimited, as-needed ongoing planning advice is provided.
